Dynamic Events |
---|
Dynamic events such as weather changes, accidents, and mechanical breakdowns can affect your cargo routes. Be prepared to adjust routes or deal with delays caused by unexpected events. Below are the possible events that could occur during a route: Weather-Related Events
Land Route Events
Sea Route Events
Air Route Events
Operator Experience and AccidentsThe probability of an operator causing an accident is based on their experience, measured in total operator miles. Newer operators have a higher chance of causing an accident, with the chance decreasing as they gain more experience. Operators with less than 10,000 miles of experience may have up to a 10% chance of having an accident, while very experienced operators with over 1 million miles may have as little as a 1% chance of an accident. This applies to land, sea, and air route operators. Events such as mechanical breakdowns and accidents can also cause additional damage to fleet assets, lowering the condition of the vehicle and requiring repairs. Make sure your fleet is well-maintained and you hire more experienced operators to minimize the chances of delays and accidents. |
